About Us
Learn & Explore
At Rising Star Academy, we are dedicated to creating a nurturing, stimulating and welcoming environment for all children. Our unique programs incorporate a variety of educational theories, while always keeping the child’s best interest in mind and allowing for hands-on, experiential learning.
We base our program philosophy on the well-accepted principle of early education that children learn about the world around them through play. We define children’s play as active involvement with other children, adults, and materials. In addition, we feel that high-quality play involves the whole child: gross motor, fine motor, senses, emotions, intellect, individual growth, and social interaction.
We believe that a child’s basic needs must be met in an environment that is nurturing, comfortable and specifically structured to meet each individual’s unique physical, emotional and developmental needs. As educators, we believe that all children have a right to respect, regardless of their abilities.
We provide an environment that is safe yet stimulating, and a play-based curriculum that challenges them through creativity, self- choice, and learning through play. Therefore, our program supports the following philosophy about children and their growth.
